Ronald Reagan

I just read Patti Davis’ “The Proustian Moment of a Father’s Wink” (Opinion, March 12). It brought tears to my eyes. Not only was it well written but it gave voice to what needs to be said. My husband had Alzheimer’s; a walking death. Unless one has a loved one with that dread disease, it’s impossible to convey the tragedy. Thanks for that wink, Patti. Your father is much loved.

Davis’ essay about her father, Ronald Reagan, was written not on a typewriter or computer or even by pen. Her words were a tribute written on a ribbon of love and respect, words etched in the wink of an eye.
