Suspect in Series of Rapes Is Apprehended

PARAMOUNT — A man believed to have kidnapped and raped three girls in Paramount and Santa Fe Springs was arrested at his home in Los Angeles on Tuesday, sheriff’s deputies said.
Cesar Enrique Ronquillo, 26, is believed responsible for the kidnapping and rape of a 13-year-old girl in Santa Fe Springs on Feb. 3, the Feb. 15 kidnapping and sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in Paramount and the Feb. 23 kidnapping and sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Paramount, detectives said. He also may have been involved in similar crimes in Bellflower and Downey, they said. Evidence linking Ronquillo to several of the crimes was found in his home, officers said.
