A memorial Mass will be said for Kimberly Smith by the Rev. Msgr. John Sammon, Orange County Fire Chaplain, at 7 p.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Smith, a 30-year-old Houston firefighter, grew up in Fountain Valley and died in February after rushing into a blazing McDonald’s restaurant before the roof collapsed. She is the department’s first woman killed in the line of duty.
The church is at 17270 Ward St. The public is invited.
