* PEPPERDINE (22-7, 12-2) vs. LOYOLA MARYMOUNT (2-25, 0-14), Santa Clara’s Toso Pavilion, 2:30 p.m., KXLU-FM (88.9)--The top-seeded Waves begin the West Coast Conference tournament against the last-place Lions, who have not defeated a Division I opponent. Pepperdine has won 14 of its last 16 under first-year Coach Jan van Breda Kolff. The Waves defeated Loyola, 95-73 and 77-65, during the regular season. Loyola has five players averaging between nine and 13 points, but the Lions shoot 36.4% and surrender 81 points a game.
