The Placentia Library is encouraging kids to take part in a statewide vote for the best children’s book of the year. Each year, the California Young Reader Medal is awarded to the book given the most votes by children as their favorite.
Library aides in the children’s department are available to help children select books to read, or to fill out the election material. All votes must be cast by April 1. For information, stop by the library at 411 E. Chapman Ave. or call (714) 528-1906, Ext. 212.
