Mater Dei 90, Thousand Oaks 43--Cedric Bozeman scored 19 of his 27 points in the first half in the top-seeded Monarchs’ victory at Ocean View High.
Tim Chevalier, who scored 14, was the only player in double figures for the Lancers (18-10).
Jamal Sampson contributed 15 points for the Monarchs (28-2), who made 12 of 15 free throws while Thousand Oaks made three of six.
DIVISION II-AA
Moorpark 65, Pasadena 55--Todd Tomlinson scored 30 points to lead the unseeded Musketeers to an upset of fourth-seeded Pasadena in a second-round game at Moorpark.
Tomlinson scored 11 points in the second quarter, including two three-point baskets, to help the Musketeers to a 30-16 halftime advantage. Tomlinson finished with three three-point baskets.
Pasadena closed to 50-43 early in the fourth quarter, but could draw no closer.
Tomlinson scored seven points and Chris Bucka scored all five of his points in the final five minutes.
Moorpark (19-9) made 20 of 30 free throws to just eight of 13 for the Bulldogs (22-7).
