La Canada Heads Past Beaumont

Heather Zaimes headed in a goal in the seventh minute of sudden-death overtime to give La Canada High a 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten Beaumont on Tuesday in a Southern Section Division IV girls second-round soccer game at La Canada.
Brooke Yaussi also scored for La Canada (6-8-3), which plays Coronal del Mar next.
Harvard-Westlake 3, La Reina 1--Tracy Lansing and Molly Cahan each had a goal and an assist for the Wolverines (19-2-4) at La Reina.
Chaminade 4, Oak Park 1--Kim Taylor, Tara Donoghue, Kelly Lavery and Lindsey Weening scored for the Eagles (20-4-4) at Chaminade.

Claremont 3, Crescenta Valley 0--The Falcons (17-5-3), minus leading scorer Rebecca Hidalgo, lost at Crescenta Valley.

Buena 6, Sultana 0--Natalie Sanderson had four goals for the Bulldogs (29-0) at Sultana.

Kennedy 9, Westchester 1--Jennifer Bernson had three goals for the Golden Cougars (12-2-2) at Kennedy.
Cleveland 4, Garfield 1--Angela Veliz scored three goals for the Cavaliers (10-5-3) at Cleveland.
El Camino Real 7, Narbonne 0--Samantha Spencer and Maytal Shvartz each had two goals for the Conquistadores (10-3-1) at El Camino Real.
Grant 1, Monroe 0--Erica Reisig scored on a penalty kick in sudden death overtime for the Lancers (12-1-1) at Grant.
