The Villa Park High School Interact Club will be helping to sponsor a bone marrow registration drive Feb. 26 for Orange resident and Santa Ana Firefighter Rene Paquin, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and needs a marrow transplant.
Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is cancer of the lymphatic system, which works to fight infections in the body. Donors must be 18 to 60 years of age and must provide a blood sample to see if they are eligible to donate marrow.
The donation drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Santa Ana Fire Department Training Center, 3001 Centennial Park, Santa Ana.
