Esperanza, Santa Margarita Get No. 1 Seeds

Esperanza is top-seeded in Division I and Santa Margarita is top-seeded in Division IV of the girls’ water polo playoffs, which begin with wild-card games Wednesday.
Other top-seeded teams are Santa Barbara in Division II, Bell Gardens in Division III and Riverside North in Division V. First-round games are Saturday.
Laguna Beach and Corona del Mar, which finished in a three-way tie with University for the Pacific Coast League championship, lost a coin flip, and both will play Division IV wild-card games Wednesday.
Laguna Beach plays at Cypress and Katella plays at Corona del Mar.
Los Alamitos received the wild-card entry in Division I, where Irvine is seeded second, Marina third and Long Beach Wilson fourth. In Division IV, El Dorado is seeded second, Rosary third and University fourth.
The finals are Feb. 29 and March 2 at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach.
