A former Los Alamitos High School baseball player will be inducted into the Griffin Baseball Hall of Fame Feb. 19.
The event, honoring Greg Harris, will begin at 10 a.m. in the baseball field behind the campus and will feature a barbecue and scrimmage between varsity and junior varsity players.
Harris graduated in 1974 and was the first out of the school’s baseball program to go into the majors. He played from 1981 to 1995 with the New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees and others team.
