Food Bank Plans Benefit Hike

FOOD Share, Ventura County’s only regional food bank, will hold its annual Hike Against Hunger on Saturday and Sunday at San Buenaventura State Beach.
The ninth coastal walk, scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m., raises money for maintenance of FOOD Share’s trucks, which deliver surplus food for distribution at county agencies.
Participants may hike two, four or eight miles on Saturday. A long-haul hike of 30 miles to Santa Barbara will conclude Sunday.
