FDA Clears Micro Therapeutics Catheter

Irvine-based Micro Therapeutics Inc. has received clearance from the Food and Drug Administration to market an addition to its line of micro catheters.
The Rebar-18 is an over-the-counter micro catheter for neuro and peripheral vascular procedures, the Irvine medical device company said.
The stock rose 50 cents, or 9%, to $6 a share in Nasdaq trading.
