Chris Mears (2-0) allowed six hits and struck out four in seven innings, and the Lancaster JetHawks defeated the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 2-1, on Saturday night at The Hanger.
Brandon Parker got his league-leading seventh save with two strikeouts in the ninth.
Juan Silvestre and Michael Abate hit run-scoring singles for Lancaster (14-9).
