* Re “ ’94 Revolution Fades for Senate GOP Freshmen,” April 19:
The freshmen and other GOP senators who voted down the line with former Speaker Newt Gingrich and his contract with America should all be purged, as they so richly deserve.
Don’t even think that those of us--Democrats, Republicans and independents alike--who were subjected to their outrageous partisanship and punish-the-poor, reward-the-rich tactics will forget it when election day 2000 comes.
I hope the Republicans are out of power for another 40 years--they’ve earned every day of it.
