PALMDALE — A 15-year-old student at Highland High School was arrested Friday after he allegedly threatened to kill a teacher who had given him a bad grade, authorities said.
The boy sent several e-mail messages to the teacher, berating her with racial epithets and threatening a “Columbine-type” attack, said Lt. Ron Shreves of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster station .
The messages “began more innocuously, like, ‘You stink. You’re a terrible teacher,’ and they gradually got uglier,” Shreves said.
Sheriff’s deputies searched the student’s home and seized two computers, but did not find any weapons, Shreves said. He was booked on suspicion of making terrorist threats and is being held without bail at Sylmar Juvenile Hall.
