1997 Havens Wine Cellars Syrah, Napa Valley
- Share via
With each successive vintage, Havens’ Syrahs seem to get deeper and more complex. The 1997, from grapes grown in the Carneros district, is sweet and luscious on the nose, offering up loads of ripe, plummy fruit tightly woven with a judicious amount of tannin. Not as elusive as its French counterparts, this Napa Valley Syrah is eager to please. And given the way its drinking, there’s no reason to be shy about uncorking this beauty.
About $24. Available at fine wine stores.
