The city’s branch of the Orange County Public Library will host an open house Thursday, in coordination with National Library Week, which began Sunday. Residents are encouraged to visit the library from 3 to 5 p.m. to see the new research tools available, including a new database and 15 new computers. A local band also is scheduled to perform.
The event also will be a chance for the community to meet new Branch Manager Jill Patterson, who was appointed last month, library officials said. Refreshments will be served at the library, 221 E. La Habra Blvd. Information: (562) 694-0078.
