A motorist in his mid-30s was killed late Saturday and two other people were injured in a two-car crash at a major Fountain Valley intersection, authorities said.
The accident occurred just after 8 p.m. at Brookhurst Street and Ellis Avenue, said Fountain Valley Police Lt. Dann Bean. Few details were immediately available, but investigators believe that a left-turn violation caused the fatal collision.
The driver of a Toyota Camry was rushed to Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Bean said. Two women in another car were transported to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
