Guilt by Biofem Association?

* Re “Investigators Keep Looking for Big Break in Biofem Case,” April 2:
Dr. Jerry D. Nilsson’s only guilt seems to be his friendship with Dr. Larry C. Ford.
Rather than treat Nilsson as innocent until proved guilty, the government detains him by force with military tactics and seizes his possessions.
Their reasoning behind the two-day surveillance, military-style raid and thorough search of his property was that the FBI had evidence that “may link him to the Feb. 28 shooting” of Ford’s business partner. And it may not.
It sickens me to see our government disregard our constitutional rights with excessive force. And at what cost to the taxpayer was this elaborate operation? And how much more will it cost us to settle the civil-rights lawsuit that will follow?
