A North Hollywood woman was struck and killed while making a left turn, police said Friday.
Lillian Toledo, 41, died while trying to make a left turn at about noon Thursday, said Los Angeles Police Officer Connie Silber of the Valley Traffic Division.
Silber said Toledo was eastbound on Sunland Boulevard in a Toyota Tercel when she attempted to make a left turn onto Wornom Avenue. Toledo failed to yield to oncoming traffic, Silber said, and was struck by an Acura Integra going west on Sunland.
Cezar Kaloustian, the driver of the Acura, complained of pain and was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. Kaloustian, 23, of Van Nuys, was treated and released, said a hospital spokeswoman.
