She’s Glad Other Adults Are Crazy for Potter

Re Harry Potter (“ ‘Potter’ Casts a Spell Across the Ages,” [Sept. 8]), it was a huge relief to find out my behavior, like millions of other adults, was completely normal when it came to the Potter books. I too have, unbeknownst to my two older boys, sneaked ahead in the stories after they have gone to sleep just to find out what was coming up. My boys are asking to go to bed just so they can hear the latest chapters!
When our package from Amazon.com came today with the latest Potter book, I was cheering along with the boys. Glad to hear that we’ll be seeing these stories on the screen; hope they don’t ruin the magic that J.K. Rowling has been able to weave with her wonderful books.
These books are instant classics. I know my boys will enjoy sharing them with their own kids one day. They’re fun reading.
