Marshall 21, Poly 19--The Barristers (7-4) overcame four turnovers and a 10-0 deficit in the third quarter at Poly (5-5).
Trailing 17-7 with 5:27 to play, Marshall quarterback Dave Martinez passed to Mina Boktor for a 13-yard touchdown. Martinez connected with Oktor again for a 46-yard touchdown to give the Barristers their first lead, 21-17, with 2:36 left.
Poly was held to 74 yards rushing. David Valencia had 39 yards in 14 carries and scored on a one-yard run in the third quarter to give the Parrots a 10-0 lead.
Marshall’s Isaac Dalyan had two sacks.
