Man Dies After Being Shot in Apparent Gang-Related Attack

VAN NUYS — Police said a man died Thursday after being shot in the face.
The unidentified victim was shot at a home shortly before 9 p.m. in the 15000 block of Friar Street in Van Nuys, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Don Cox. Cox said the shooting appeared to be gang-related. An unknown type of weapon was used, he said.
The gunman walked in through the back door of the house, shot the victim in the face, and fled, Cox said.
The circumstances and the motive for the crime were under investigation, Cox said.
