The La Habra Police Assn. presented a $15,000 check to the La Habra Community Foundation, an umbrella organization for local charities, at Monday night’s City Council meeting.
The money was about 80% of the association’s net profit from an Oct. 16 charity golf tournament. The La Habra Community Foundation has helped fund programs such as Meals on Wheels, the Boys and Girls Club and Friends of the La Habra Library, by soliciting donations from the community.
