The City Council and Waste Management are hosting a Cleanup Day on Saturday by placing 40-yard roll-off boxes at six locations throughout the city so residents can drop off items that cannot be picked up on regular trash days.
Appliances and furniture, lumber and yard waste will be accepted at the following sites from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: El Centro, La Bonita, Montwood, Oeste and Vista Grande parks and Sierra Vista School.
No hazardous or toxic materials will be allowed. For more information call the Public Works Department: (562) 905-9792.
