Santa Paula 20, Santa Clara 12--Jacob Macias recovered a blocked punt in the end zone and returned an interception for a touchdown for visiting Santa Paula at Channel Islands High.
Macias intercepted a pass from Paul Macen in the first quarter and returned it 28 yards to give the Cardinals (6-3, 2-1) a 7-0 lead.
Chris Torres blocked the punt that Macias fell on for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to give Santa Paula a 20-6 lead.
Danny Chaparro, who had 101 yards in 26 carries, scored in the final minute for Santa Clara (3-6, 1-2) on a one-yard run.
