School Closure Postpones Palisades-Hamilton Game

Friday’s Western League football game between Palisades High and Hamilton was postponed until Monday as part of the closure of the Palisades campus after it was discovered that asbestos was being mishandled by construction workers.
Palisades Coach Ron Price said the game will be played at Palisades at 2:30 p.m.
“We’re counting on playing at our place,” Price said, “but if it’s moved someplace else between now and Monday, so be it.”
The postponement raises the possibility of Palisades and Hamilton each playing three games in 11 days.
Palisades, 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Western League, plays Malibu Kilpatrick next Friday and will open the City Section playoffs on Thursday, Nov. 18. Hamilton (2-5, 1-3) plays Fairfax next Friday and could qualify for the section’s Invitational playoffs, which also begin Nov. 18.
