Marvel Jean Behm; Co-Owned Music Store

Marvel Jean Behm, a retired Pacific Bell manager and co-owner of Techels Music Center in North Hollywood, died Sunday at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. She was 74.
Behm was born July 6, 1925, in Clarke, Neb., and grew up in that area. She graduated from hixgh school in 1943. Later that year, she moved to California and began working for Pacific Bell.
She met Mel Behm and on Nov. 17, 1946, the couple married. They owned and operated Techels Music Center in North Hollywood.
She retired from a management position with Pacific Bell after 25 years of service.
In 1982, the couple moved to Ventura, where Mel Behm said they often enjoyed hikes along the shoreline.
In addition to her husband, Behm is survived by their daughter Deborah Sullivan of Lakeport, Calif.; sister Margaret Ohlrich of Superior, Neb.; brothers Frank Presnell of Hastings, Neb., and Clint Presnell of Grand Island, Neb.
Private services were held by the family.
