The City Council on Wednesday voted for the minimum police service available from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. The $674,000 service agreement will include two 20-hours-per-week patrol positions, a part-time investigator and a community services officer to provide crime prevention, public safety information and investigate accidents. The council had two other service plans to choose from as well, which carried more options and higher prices.
A contract with the Sheriff’s Department will be drafted for consideration at the next council meeting.
