The City Council will hold a public hearing Tuesday to consider approving an increase in solid waste collection rates. CR&R; Inc., the city’s waste hauling franchise, has requested a 1.4% increase in rates for residential and commercial collection, including the processing and disposal of solid waste. If approved, the hike would be effective July 1. The council meets at 6:30 p.m. in chambers, 7800 Katella Ave.
