‘Boondocks’

* I was surprised and offended by the May 16 Sunday comic, “Boondocks,” which made what I thought were very negative portrayals of African American children and values--depicting two scowling and angry-looking kids explicitly accepting attacking school principals, graffiti, stealing and a future that includes jail. I have a great sense of irreverent humor and satire and was trying to see either in this and couldn’t. If not satire, it was a very racist and offensive portrayal--of anyone.
