Free guided hikes are offered at the Irvine Co. Open Space Reserve on Saturdays. There are also Sunday mountain-bike rides and monthly Friday night full-moon walks. The reserve has 17,000 acres of wilderness featuring coastal sage scrub, chaparral and oak woodlands in Limestone Canyon and Emerald Canyon, near Laguna Beach. Hikes range from two to eight miles.
