Pacific Symphony

Re Daniel Cariaga’s review of the Pacific Symphony (“A Too-Distant Pacific,” May 7):

Did you hear the woman screaming, “Oh my God,” at the end of the Strauss piece, or were you too busy remembering your unfulfilled hopes of ever becoming a productive member of the society?

The audience needs to be moved, and guess what? Everyone, but you, was. Maybe the unsophisticated Orange County audience gave conductor Carl St.Clair four standing ovations just to stretch their legs.
