Sinking Feeling in ‘Noah’s’ Titanic Disaster

Re NBC’s “Noah’s Ark”:
I do believe I have just viewed the worst film I have ever seen.
As an unpublished “wannabe” writer, I couldn’t have offered worse lines than Lot’s wife moaning, “I never have any fun,” or Noah’s son saying, “I’m your future son-in-law, Dad.” Hello . . . “Dad?” The word wasn’t even used until the present century.
A fine actress, Mary Steenburgen just simpered her sad way through her embarrassing role as Noah’s wife. What else could she do?
Jon Voight, also a fine actor, struggled mightily to rise above the flood of terrible, Bible-butchering script and worse direction.
The animals did well, but I can see better any day on Animal Planet.
Alas, too bad the flood didn’t come in the first minutes of the film and obliterate the rest of this heinous production crime before it could be launched against a public hungry for good, soul-filling entertainment.
