Chaminade 10, St. Francis 3--Spencer Gordon had a two-run triple and a two-run single for Chaminade (17-8, 6-6) in a Mission League game at Brookside Park in Pasadena.
Jeff Hynick (7-3) struck out three and walked one in his fourth complete game for Chaminade.
Poly 12, Grant 3--Manny Flores had three hits, two doubles and drove in four runs in an East Valley League game at Poly (22-6, 15-1).
Johnny Manuel also had three hits for Poly. Jon Spielvogel had a two-run triple for Grant (17-8, 11-5).
Sylmar 2, North Hollywood 0--Sophomore Greg Ramos tossed a three-hitter and struck out seven for host Sylmar (18-7, 12-4) in an East Valley League game.
Granada Hills 11, San Fernando 1--Peter Tuber had two doubles and three RBIs in a North Valley League game at San Fernando.
Chris Cook hit a two-run double for Granada Hills (19-5).
Kennedy 4, Cleveland 2--Jeremy Serr hit a home run and freshman Adam Geery (6-4) scattered seven hits for Kennedy (15-15, 9-7) in a North Valley League game at Cleveland (10-15, 6-10).
El Camino Real 12, Birmingham 2--Brian Somoza hit a three-run home run in a five-inning West Valley League game at Birmingham.
Monroe 5, Van Nuys 2--Vince Vargas had a run-scoring triple and a run-scoring single for Monroe (9-16, 7-9) in a Mid-Valley League game at Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park.
Reseda 8, Canoga Park 7--Andy Montoya’s hit in the seventh scored the winning run in a Mid-Valley League game at Reseda (15-10, 9-6).
Oxnard 15, Hueneme 2--Freshman Alex Merricks pitched a four-hitter and had 11 strikeouts for Oxnard (12-10-1, 7-6) in a Pacific View League game called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Catcher John Fleener hit a grand slam.
Camarillo 12, Channel Islands 3--Eric Foster had three hits, including a home run, for Camarillo (20-6, 10-2) in a Pacific View League game at Channel Islands.
Camarillo’s Shane Miranda had four hits and three RBIs.
Crespi 19, Alemany 1--Kris Palomares hit a grand slam and had seven RBIs in a five-inning Mission League game.
Crespi (22-5, 11-1) clinched at least a share of the league title and will enter the playoffs as the Mission’s top-seeded team after winning a coin flip.
Hoover 5, Muir 3--Charlie Hinchcliff drove in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning with a two-run triple in a Pacific League game.
Paraclete 8, Village Christian 1--Jason Brown threw a two-hitter and struck out five for host Paraclete (17-7, 7-1), which clinched the Alpha League championship.
Notre Dame 12, Montclair Prep 2--Brendan Ryan had two hits, a home run and two RBIs for host Notre Dame (22-4) in a nonleague five-inning game.
