After changing the wording, the City Council this week approved the Juan A’vila Adobe monument plaque. But council members will review the wording one more time before it is--literally--set in stone. City staff will fax the wording to each council member when it is finalized. The plaque will be dedicated July 3, along with one for the Costeau Pit monument. Both are near Aliso Creek, just off Interstate 5.
