Black Business Is Focus of Conference

Fostering business development in the local black community is a key mission of the Black Business & Professional Assn., which is sponsoring its third annual African-American Economic Summit on Saturday at Cal State Long Beach.
This year’s event will focus on how to pursue international trade opportunities, expand a small business, land public contracts and capitalize on the telecommunications revolution.
To help provide insight into how to tap into the international marketplace, the group has invited trade experts and business and government leaders from Africa to discuss trade opportunities with the continent.
