The City Council will hold a public hearing tonight to consider a General Plan amendment to remove a public trail designation from Monarch Beach. The change would affect an undeveloped lot within a gated community east of Monarch Beach Drive.
The General Plan currently designates the lot as a connector between public properties. The Monarch Beach Master Homeowners Assn. would like to see the lot walled and developed as a small park. The council meets at 6:30 p.m. in chambers, 33282 Golden Lantern, Suite 210. Information: (949) 248-9890.
