Tornado Photo

Thank you for the story (“ ‘Then, I Could No Longer Stand,’ ” May 5) behind the May 4 front-page photograph of the mother clutching her two children as the tornado approached. As a mother of a 6-year-old, I found the picture horrifying and could not get it out of my mind all day. I kept wondering what became of them. I was relieved to read they survived.
