Jean D. Arrington; Secretary and Dog Enthusiast

Ojai resident Jean D. Arrington died Thursday at a Ventura hospital after a brief illness. She was 66.
Arrington was born Oct. 4, 1932, in Ogden, Utah. She was a 30-year county resident who moved from Redlands.
Arrington was a secretary for many years, working for various companies and organizations.
She was a member and past chairwoman for the City of Angels Silky Terrier Club, and the Ventura County Dog Fanciers Assn. She also cared for four silky terriers--Katrina, Hoss, Sean and Pip.
She is survived by two sons, Robert S. Rieke of Carina, Australia, and Ronald E. Rieke of Redlands; a daughter, Pamela K. Martin of Yucaipa; her mother, Leone Hussey of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Raedelle Mundy of Grand Junction, Colo., and three grandchildren.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Silky Terrier Rescue Fund at the Silky Terrier Club of America in Alameda.
