JERUSALEM — A Palestinian was seriously wounded in a knife attack in Jerusalem on Tuesday in an assault that police said may have been linked to eight other stabbings blamed on a Jewish extremist.
The victim, in his 50s, was found during morning rush hour in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhood of Mea Shearim.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jerusalem Police Chief Yair Yitzhaki said the attack may have been related to the stabbings of eight other Palestinians in Mea Shearim since November 1997.
