A retirement reception will take place Jan. 21 for Frances L. Jolly, Magnolia School District assistant superintendent of special services and certificated personnel. Jolly retired Jan. 4 after 39 years of service.
The reception will be from 3:15 to 5 p.m. at Dr. Jonas E. Salk Elementary School, 1411 S. Gilbert St. A dinner will follow at 6 p.m. at the Turnip Rose, 300 S. Flower St., Orange. Cost for the dinner is $30. Information: (714) 761-5533.
