BYL Bancorp: The Yorba Linda holding company for BYL Bank Group said that net income for the fourth quarter totaled $1.3 million, or 50 cents a share, 45% higher than the $904,000, or 35 cents a share, posted a year ago. Net income for the year was $4.1 million, or $1.55 a share, compared to net income of $2.9 million, or $1.12 a share, for 1997. Total assets increased 34% to $318 million from $238.1 million. DNB Financial, the holding company of De Anza National Bank, was acquired in May.
