Garden Grove Unified has approved the first round of School Site Grants totaling $312,682. Seventeen schools submitted proposals for the one-time grants, which reflect recommendations of school site councils or school advisory committees and principals. Recommendations included purchases for classroom technology, library books, educational supplies and instructional equipment. Schools are eligible for grants based on an allocation of $25 per pupil, with a minimum grant of $10,000 per school. Information: (714) 663-6503.
