Police are warning residents to be wary of telephone solicitors claiming to represent the Fullerton Police Department, the Fullerton Police Athletic League and the Fullerton Neighborhood Watch Assn. Sgt. Joe Klein said there is an organization called the California Police Activities League that has hired a solicitor to make phone donation requests, but the Fullerton Neighborhood Watch Assn. has not authorized any solicitations. Residents with questions on an organization’s legitimacy can contact the Police Department at (714) 738-6715.
