Trustees for the Brea Olinda Unified School District will decide tonight whether to approve hiring Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauthan as bond counsel after agreeing earlier this month to pursue a $27-million school bond measure on the June 8 ballot.
The lawyers would prepare the documents needed to get the bond measure on the ballot and to issue the bond if it passes, said Bob Wayland, an attorney with the firm. The firm would collect about $45,000 in fees only if the measure passes, he added. The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the district office, 1 Civic Center Circle.
