County Surplus

What a dilemma. A surplus of more than $300 million is expected this year by the county (Jan. 30) and the supervisors don’t know what to do with it. They don’t have to hire consultants (who only tell you what you already know, in consultant-speak). The solution lies before their very eyes. They see it every day (and night), wherever they walk and drive.
If they will only open their eyes as well as their hearts, they will see those who sleep on the streets, under bridges, in the parks and on the beaches and those who keep hidden in bushes along the freeways. They are everywhere. In this time of abundance, spend some of this money on helping the homeless.
