Hillary Book Part of an Annoying Trend
Gail Sheehy’s book about Hillary Clinton (“Sheehy’s Choice: to Dissect the First Marriage,” Dec. 22) is just the latest in an annoying trend in “news” television shows, papers and books. Someone representing themselves as an expert talks in depth about a public figure as though they know them well and know what they are thinking, feeling and what their motivations are. Call this “journalism” what it is: gossip.
