Couple Sentenced in Girl’s Killing

Describing the torture death of a 4-year-old girl as a “desecration,” a judge in Miami sentenced the couple convicted of her killing to the maximum of 30 years in prison. Ken and Roselene Wilkinson were sentenced for beating, burning and using an ax to dismember Kendia Lockhart nearly three years ago. Ken Wilkinson pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in exchange for testifying against his wife. Roselene Wilkinson was acquitted of first-degree murder, but the jury convicted her of manslaughter and aggravated child abuse.
