Marmonte Ready to Take Calabasas

Marmonte League principals voted unanimously to accept Calabasas High as the league’s eighth member by the 2001-2002 school year.
A majority vote by Southern Section leagues when releaguing is done in 2001 will send Calabasas from the Division XI Frontier League to the Division IV Marmonte.
The Marmonte has been a seven-team league since Moorpark became a member in the fall of 1998.
GOLF
* Jeremy Boville of Agoura Hills shot 13-over-par 79-78--157 to capture second in the boys’ 12-13 division of the Palm Desert Holiday Classic at Desert Princess Country Club.
Brian Kim of San Diego shot 153 to win the division. Jeff Dagg of Alberta, Canada, also shot 157, but Boville took second on a card-off.
SOFTBALL
* The Ballistic 14-and-under girls’ travel team will hold tryouts Jan. 2 and Jan. 8.
